Until Next Time Dolls,
Word of advice for the newly engaged on preparation for their wedding day:
Stay Calm, don’t stress yourself out!! Try doing some therapeutic activities, to get your mind off the wedding day for a while.
How did you meet? My husband and I met in 2009 in Atlanta, Ga. We worked together at a call center, and he also was a mutual friend of my cousin. He would always compliment me on my attire, and it’s funny because the times he would compliment me we would have on the same colors!
Most unforgettable moments of your wedding day: I love spoken word, so my favorite spoken word artist Two Libras did a piece with her son and dedicated it to me and my husband, it was so beautiful!
Wedding Details: Location Atlanta, GA Wedding Ceremony: Old Fourth Ward Park. Reception: The B Loft.
Wedding Date: 7-13-14
Wedding Colors: Gold and Plum with a pink accent.
Bridesmaids Count: 2 bridesmaid’s 1 maid of honor 1 matron of honor
Bridal Gown Style: My dress was an Ivory, strapless, mermaid corset back with beautiful pearl beading. I also wore a matching birdcage veil to give it a vintage feel.
Describe your hairstyle on your wedding day: I love my curly locs and I knew I wanted curls on my wedding day but I didn’t want all my hair down. So my hairstylist decided to do a French roll updo with a curly pompadour look in the front. It was perfect! It was a 2 in 1 hairstyle for me because on my honeymoon when my curls dropped I just wore my locs to the side, and the French roll stayed in place.
Where did you get the style idea? Janelle Monae. I love her pompadour look and I knew I could re-enact it with my locs!
