Word of advice for the newly engaged on preparation for their wedding day: I would suggest that any newly engaged couples to remember that after the party is over you still have a life to live….don’t go broke planning the wedding.

Wedding Details: Share with us the setup – Location: Theme: The theme of our wedding was Vintage Garden Chic (our favorite park), it was a very causal laid back feel.

Wedding Date: 7/29/13 (which is my grandmother birthday)

Wedding Color: There was no color scheme. We allowed the beauty of the garden to be our back drop.

Bridesmaid Count: No bridesmaids

Bridal gown style: The style of my dress was Vintage Chic(styles by Sofistafunk)

How did you meet?  While walking home I was approached by Randie. I was not very impressed by him but a few weeks later he won me over. And we finally went out on a date and after many years of dating we jumped the broom.

Describe your hairstyle on your wedding day:
My hair style was just a simple twist out. As time ticked away and I realized that I may not get much sleep I went to my go to hair style. I was way to sleepy to do anything else. In my mind I thought that I would have time to do an Up do once I woke up the next morning, but that never happened. I was very happy with end result!

What style would you rock to renew your vows? The style I would rock at my renewal would be a braided mohawk.

How long have you been natural? Hair Care Regimen?
This year made two years that I’ve been natural. My hair care routine is very simple sulfate free shampoo or co-wash, then twist or braid with a homemade shea mixture which helps my hair to be soft & retain shine.
