2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring Car Review
What’s New For 2017 Model
The 2017 CX-3 compact crossover is featured with the full range of SKYACTIV Technology and KODO – Soul of Motion design. SKYACTIV increases fuel efficiency and engine output. This new technology includes a new engine, transmission and body transformation launched by Mazda in 2011. KODO – Soul of Motion is an innovative design for speed.
The CX-3 provides all the essentials needed in a vehicle with a quality and stylish package developed solely for the new generations enjoyment.
The technology was standard compared to most 2017 vehicles. The CX-3 came with an infotainment system, seven inch full touchscreen display and voice command. I love the option of the SMS text message audio delivery and replay, allowing you to view messages without picking up your phone. The navigation system helped us stay on track during our trip to the Children’s Museum and the BOSE audio system plus, hand free blue tooth and commander control kept the the music bumping.
The Drive & Speed
The SKYACTIV 2.0L engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, available in sport mode, kicked us into high gear. I sat comfortably in the leather trimmed seat upholstery with lux suede inserts, automatic climate control and a one-touch power glass moonroof for the one day of 60 degree weather.
Safety & Security
The Mazda CX-3 came with the standard rear view camera, traffic alert and adaptive front lighting system. I really enjoyed the bling spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, something I wish I had within my own car. The security of this car was wonderful! It comes with smart break support, lane departure warning and high beam control and an engine immobilizer anti-theft system.
Priced reasonably, starting at MSRP – $24,990. Includes many of the features I listed in detail above. Please speak with a Mazda representative for further details.
Would I Purchase
Yes, If we lived closer to the city, this car would be a perfect compact vehicle to get from point A to point B. The price is comparable to fit our budget and the color blue seems to be a big hit with our son, Calvin. I adored the size of the Mazda as well, allowing us to squeeze into tighter parking spots in Chicago.
